Hillside Motel

We stayed at this hotel for two days and it was okay. Amanda, the owner, is very friendly and very welcoming. Great location and the room was clean. On the other hand, it was extremely cold during the two nights because the windows and the door are poorly insulated so the air passed easily.

My family and I recently stayed at the Hillside Motel renting 2 rooms. Prior to our arrival my party and I had MANY reservations due to the reviews from prior guests. From the minute we arrived the property owner Amanda was very welcoming and pleasant. She knows her property is a work in progress but the kind atmosphere and hospitality ease any discomfort it's appearance might give you. Our rooms were VERY clean, smelled good and we had fresh towels and availability to make coffee in the morning .One can clearly see Amanda and her staff are working hard to make each guest feel at home. Amanda my family and I thank you and your staff for your hospitality. We look forward to seeing the property once you have completed all of the renovations.Great job.

My boyfriend and I just stayed here for 4 nights and it was very nice. It's a quick drive or trolly ride into the center of main street and maybe a 20 minute walk. The room was very clean and perfect for us 2. The owner was super friendly and easy going , the pool was clean, she even had a community kitchen for everyone and it has a stove, microwave, and coffee! Highly reccomend

We were pleasantly surprised by this adorable gem! The room was super clean. The pool was very much appreciated on the hot days. Everything is within convenient distance for exploring. We didn’t use the trolley, but it stops literally at the front of the property. My literal only complaint is that the bed was a bit hard. But other than that, our stay was pure perfection! Amanda was amazing and super cool. My kids loved her and that speaks volumes. The rooms were perfect. The service and coffee great. The property was well kept, quiet and comfortable. We will definitely be back.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hillside for a few days this week. Very convenient location near lake George town, Great Escape ,shopping centers and more. Not sure which Amanda I spoke with but she was very friendly and welcoming . The motel is an older vintage style. Which is very nostalgic and comforting if you appreciate these types of places like I do. The Wi-Fi is top notch. I had no issues with lagging or disconnecting. Good size pool that was clean . Convenient kitchen area for the guests to prepare meals, fresh coffee made every morning but I love coffee all day long so I wish they had machines in the rooms. The only other draw back for me would be the mattress. I am not used to firm Mattreses but was able to sleep alright on it. Thank you to the Amanda's for all you do. Great place to stay.

Great place for the money Amanda was very feindly great sitting on porch looking across seeing the mountains across the way pool close and beautiful coffee made fresh every morning by 6 great place would go back again

The owner ( Amanda ) is very nice she greets you every morning , afternoon, evening, she will go out of her way to stop and chat with you this motel is the best love everything about it no negativity from me I been going here for a few yrs and will continue my stays every year, thank you amanda

My girlfriend and I recently booked a room here for several nights. We were looking for a place that was quiet, cozy, affordable, and tucked away from the bustle of the main strips. The Hillside Motel was the PERFECT find. Amanda has extended her own warm, welcoming personality and effervescent energy into her creation. The layout of her property fuses with the mountainside landscape, and returning here after whole days of hiking, biking, and exploring really felt like we were returning home. Cooking dinner in the well stocked community kitchen then watching the sunset while enjoying the warm pool was our favorite way to close out the days. 10/10 and cant wait to come back. Translated for youth: This place slaps, no cap. Mad nature vibes. Bet. Amanda is the GOAT.

Sometimes you get what you pay for/ Most times you don't/ But once in a while you get a very pleasant surprise! Great location, great price and wonderful manager ( Amanda ). As a person who traveled for a living and spent well over 2000 nights away from home, this place is a keeper. if you want basics ( clean room, good bed to sleep on, and someone that really appreciates your business, this is it. ) As Amanda said when my wife Colleen and I checked in, this is not a Marriott. She was right. As a lifetime platinum member with Marriott, i can say that this place overall was better. Thank you for a great vacay!!!!
